Specialties

Working within areas of anxiety, life changes, and relationships, I find that bringing compassion to the forefront of sessions allows for permission to heal deep wounds and lingering hurt. I value a collaborative approach where strides are taken at your own pace, we honor your "tiny victories", and recognize the progress you have made.

Below is where I specialize, however I do have expertise in:

LGBTQ+ issues, self-esteem, burnout, spirituality, perfectionism, & women’s issues.

  • Anxiety and depression can be experienced independently or together, and can affect how you think, feel, and move throughout your day. Anxiety often shows up as persistent worry, restlessness, or a sense of being on edge, while depression can bring feelings of heaviness, low energy, or disconnection from yourself and others. With understanding and support, these experiences can become more manageable, and space for relief and balance can begin to grow.

  • Life transitions are the shifts and changes that move us from one chapter to another, whether expected or unexpected, chosen or out of our control. Even positive changes can bring uncertainty, stress, or a sense of being ungrounded as you adjust to something new. With support, these moments can become opportunities to reconnect with yourself and move forward with greater clarity and stability.

  • Relationship struggles and patterns often reflect the ways we’ve learned to connect, protect ourselves, and respond to others over time. You might notice recurring conflicts, difficulty expressing your needs, or feeling stuck in the same cycles, even when you want something different. With awareness and support, these patterns can begin to shift, creating space for more honest, secure, and fulfilling connections.

  • Our family of origin and early attachment experiences help shape how we see ourselves, relate to others, and feel safe in connection. These early patterns can quietly influence your relationships, emotional responses, and sense of belonging in ways that aren’t always obvious. With gentle exploration and support, you can begin to understand these roots and create new ways of relating that feel more secure and aligned with who you are now.

  • Trauma is the emotional and physical imprint left by experiences that felt overwhelming, unsafe, or too much to process at the time. It can show up in many ways such as heightened anxiety, numbness, difficulty trusting, or feeling disconnected from yourself or others. Trauma is scary, and the process can be hard. However, healing is possible, and you can begin to feel more grounded, safe, and at home within yourself.

Approach

Therapy is not one size fits all- how we approach your work is tailored specifically to you and your needs.

Affirmative & Compassionate

Actively validates and supports a person’s identity, especially for those in LGBTQ+ communities, while recognizing the impact of societal stigma, discrimination, and lived experiences. Rather than viewing identity as something to change, affirmative therapy creates a safe, respectful space to explore who you are, build self-acceptance, and support your overall well-being.

Trauma Informed

Recognizes how past experiences of trauma can shape your emotions, relationships, and sense of safety. It prioritizes empowering you while moving at a pace that respects your boundaries and avoids re-traumatization.

Family Systems

Looks at individuals within the context of their relationships, especially family, recognizing that our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are shaped by the systems we’re part of. It focuses on understanding patterns, roles, and dynamics within those relationships, helping create healthier ways of connecting, communicating, and relating to one another.

Neuropsychotherapy

Integrates neuroscience and psychology to understand how the brain and nervous system shape your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It focuses on how past experiences (especially stress or trauma) affect brain functioning, while using this insight to support healing, regulation, and lasting change.

  • "The truth about who we are lives in our hearts. Our call to courage is to protect our wild heart against constant evaluation, especially our own. No one belongs here more than you.”
